Golden pheasant family discovered near Loch Ness

A family of Golden Pheasants – never catalogued in the UK in recorded history – have been discovered near Loch Ness, in Allanfearn.

The brightly colored birds, once native exclusively to A

sia, have left evidence of migratory nesting throughout the Highlands, finally seeming to settle in Allanfearn.

The governor of the region has asked locals and visitors not to disturb the family, until ornithologists can tag the birds, but insists that collecting loose feathers is perfectly legal.
